This week proves that you don’t have to win American Idol to strike it rich. Two former finalists, Jason Castro and Adam Lambert are shaking things up this week and making headlines in a really big way.
Jason Castro has fans buzzing with anticipation over the release of his first album set to hit store shelves tomorrow. The new CD has been in the works for quite some time, and Castro promises that fans won’t be disappointed. The new self-titled CD will include 14 songs for the deluxe on-line version and 8 songs for the standard version that will be available in stores beginning on Tuesday, April 13th. The songs on the deluxe version include: Let’s Just Fall In Love, This Heart of Mine, That’s What I’m Here For, Heart of Stone, If I Were You, You Can Always Come Home, Love Uncompromised, Closer, All Wrapped Up, It Matters To Me, Hallelujah, Let’s Just Fall In Love Again (acoustic version), Sweet Medicine and Over The Rainbow. The deluxe version can be ordered by clicking on jasoncastromusic.com. To promote the big release, Jason Castro announced that he will make an appearance and perform on The Ellen Degeneres Show on April 22nd. This past American Idol finalist certainly has a lot going on in the next two weeks, and his fans couldn’t be any happier about it.
The second American Idol former finalist making headlines this week is, of course, Adam Lambert. He will both mentor the finalists during Tuesday’s performance show and will sing a song from For Your Entertainment during the Wednesday's results show. The theme this week is Elvis songs, and to get inspiration, all of the finalists took a quick trip to Las Vegas to take in the Elvis-inspired Cirque du Soleil’s Viva Vegas production at the new and stunning Aria Hotel and Hotel, located right on the strip. The drama will certainly be heightened this week as the remaining finalists face a double elimination caused by last weeks’ judges save of Michael Lynche. It should be a great week for Adam Lambert and American Idol fans across the country.
